ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Jan 20: In a surprising turn of events, former Pakistan cricket all-rounder Shoaib Malik revealed on Saturday that he has entered marital bliss with Pakistani actress Sana Javed. This announcement comes amid persistent rumors of a separation from retired Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.

Shoaib Malik took to his Instagram account to share the joyous occasion, posting several pictures from the nuptials with the acclaimed Pakistani actress. Sana Javed, known for her significant contributions to Pakistan’s show-business arena, also shared dazzling images from their ‘Nikaah’ ceremony on her social media handles.

Captioning the wedding ceremony pictures with the poignant words, “And We created you in pairs,” the newlyweds radiated happiness as they posed in their exquisite wedding ensembles.

Sana Javed rose to fame in Pakistan with her television debut in 2012’s ‘Shehr-e-Zaat’ and further solidified her position with roles in various other shows. Her portrayal of the titular character in the romantic drama ‘Khaani’ garnered her widespread recognition.

This confirmation of Shoaib Malik’s new marriage follows swirling speculations of a separation between the former cricketer and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. Sania had previously hinted at a potential parting of ways with Shoaib through a cryptic social media post.

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza entered matrimony in 2010 and were based in Dubai. The couple celebrated the birth of their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in 2018. However, recent reports suggest that the couple may have concluded their 12-year-long marriage, engaging in co-parenting responsibilities for their son Izhaan.

Shoaib Malik, a former batting all-rounder, marked his international debut in ODIs in 1999 and went on to contribute significantly to many of Pakistan’s memorable victories. Across formats, Shoaib scored an impressive 7534 runs in 287 ODIs. In T20Is, he featured in 124 matches, amassing 2435 runs at a formidable strike rate of 125.64. The 41-year-old also played 35 Test matches, accumulating 1898 runs. Shoaib played his last international game for Pakistan against Bangladesh in 2021.
