KUWAIT CITY,Oct 2,:Sheikh Talal Mohammad Al-Sabah, President of the International and Asian Bowling Federations and the Bowling Club, proudly presided over the award ceremony for the champions of the "Kuwait Bowling" event. He expressed his immense satisfaction with the resounding success of the Kuwait International Open Bowling Championship, which served as a remarkable prelude to the forthcoming World Championship, scheduled to be hosted by Kuwait this October.

During the awards presentation, Sheikh Mohammad commended the substantial positive impact that the tournament had on the development of Kuwaiti bowlers. He highlighted the significant interaction between Kuwaiti players and their counterparts from various Asian and international backgrounds. Sheikh Mohammad emphasized that this tournament, featuring over 100 male and female participants and fierce competitions, played a pivotal role in enhancing the technical and physical prowess of Kuwaiti bowlers who secured top positions in several categories. He expressed hope that this achievement would elevate their performance to an exceptional level in the upcoming tournament.

The tournament culminated with outstanding results: Swedish athlete Pontus Andersson clinched the top spot in the men's division, followed by compatriot William Svensson in second place. The women's competition was dominated by Colombian bowlers, with Juliana Franco securing the first position and Maria Rodriguez taking second place. In the youth category, Kuwait showcased its bowling talent, securing the top three spots with Abdul Razzaq Muhammad in first place, Omar Al-Safran in second place, and Adel Abel in third place. In the Class A category, Kuwait's prowess was evident, as Adel Abel and Yousef Al-Mansour claimed the first and second positions, while Emirati athlete Abdullah Al-Marri secured third place.
