Sheikh Mubarak hails Prime Minister’s recognition of Kuwait’s athletes

KUWAIT CITY, July 25: Kuwait Olympic Committee Vice President Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah praised the generous support and patronage extended by His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for the ceremony honoring outstanding athletes.

Sheikh Mubarak said the initiative reflects the state’s appreciation for the dedication and achievements of Kuwaiti athletes, while highlighting the continued backing the sports sector receives from the country’s leadership.

In a press statement, the Kuwait Olympic Committee Vice President described the Prime Minister’s attendance and sponsorship of the event as a significant gesture that demonstrates Kuwait’s commitment to supporting athletes and recognizing those who have brought honor to the country. He added that such recognition motivates them to continue pursuing success and enhancing Kuwait’s sporting presence at regional and international levels.

He also praised Minister of State for Youth and Sports Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahema and Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports Bashar Abdullah for their efforts in organizing the ceremony, which celebrated athletes’ accomplishments and promoted a culture of appreciation for those who contribute to Kuwait’s sporting achievements.
