KUWAIT CITY, May 1: Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal, Vice Chairman of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, reiterated his commitment to championing athletes across various sports and overcoming any hurdles in their path to excellence. This pledge was made during his meeting at the Olympic Committee's headquarters with martial arts champion boxer Hamzah Al-Behbahani, who is gearing up to compete for the World Professional Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight belt in Bangkok next June.
Sheikh Al-Faisal commended the remarkable achievements of Kuwaiti athletes in both individual and team sports, expressing pride in their success at regional and international levels. He emphasized the Committee's unwavering support for athletes like Al-Behbehani, acknowledging their contributions to elevating Kuwait's sporting reputation globally.
In response, Hamzah Al-Behbahani expressed gratitude for the Kuwait Olympic Committee's steadfast support, underscoring the significance of such backing for athletes like himself.
