KUWAIT, April 20, (KUNA): Kuwaiti driver Sheikh Jaber Athbi Al-Sabah achieved second place in the rookie category of the Formula 4 (F4) Championship, which was held over two days in the United Kingdom.

The event featured 31 drivers from various countries, including competitors supported by Formula 1 teams such as Mercedes-Benz, Red Bull, and McLaren.

In a phone call with KUNA, Sheikh Jaber expressed his satisfaction with his strong performance throughout the races, noting that securing second place came despite competing against highly skilled and experienced drivers.

He added that his main objective in participating in international competitions is to raise Kuwait’s profile on the global motorsport stage and highlight the capabilities of Kuwaiti drivers, stressing that this result serves as motivation to continue his racing career.

This season marks Sheikh Jaber’s debut in the championship, where he claimed second place on the rookie podium and finished seventh overall in what is considered one of the most competitive Formula 4 series.

He also noted that his car featured the national “Arfaj flower” emblem, symbolizing the strength and resilience of frontline personnel in Kuwait amid the current challenges facing the country.
