KUWAIT CITY, June 9: Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre declared on Monday the launch of its new initiative, “Rehearsal No. 1”, one of its qualitative projects seeking to discover and develop theatrical talents. The step is part of the center’s ongoing efforts aiming to empower emerging creative talents and prepare a new generation of gifted theatre artists, Khaled Al-Failakawi, a center supervisor, said in a press statement. Al-Failakawi added that the program, which is available for registration through the center’s official platforms, represents a new step to discover theatrical talent, empower it, and refine its artistic skills. He pointed out that the program comes within the center’s vision, seeking to provide a professional environment to embrace talents in various fields of performing arts, including actor training, theatre production, and the professional management of backstage operations to help prepare technical and production personnel with the necessary skills to participate in future theatre projects. The 12-week program will start on July 1, and participants will be interviewed before moving on to the training and rehearsal phase, leading up to the final theatrical performance, he noted. (KUNA)
