Kuwait 4th Gulf Games delegation.

KUWAIT CITY, May 9: The President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, said that the 4th Gulf Games, set to take place in Doha from May 11 to 22, represent a valued sporting event that reflects the deep brotherly relations and shared destiny among GCC countries.

He stressed that the Kuwait Olympic Committee is committed to taking part actively in the event despite regional challenges, emphasizing the belief that sport remains a strong bridge for unity, friendship, and cooperation among Gulf peoples.

Sheikh Al-Nasser noted that such major sporting gatherings highlight the spirit of solidarity between GCC nations, adding that the true goal goes beyond winning and losing to promoting friendship and the values of fair play. He said all participants are winners simply by being part of this important regional event.

He also expressed hope that the Games will be a success at all organizational and technical levels, wishing all athletes the best in achieving strong results.

The Kuwait Olympic Committee chief thanked Qatar for hosting the event, praising its proven expertise in organizing major international and regional competitions, and its ability to deliver a successful edition that reflects the ambitions of Gulf sport.

The Kuwaiti delegation will depart on Sunday for Doha to begin its participation in the Games, with strong ambitions to compete for medals and deliver a strong performance across events.

Kuwait will be represented by a 120-athlete delegation, competing in 13 sports out of 17 on the program, including equestrian, 3x3 basketball, handball, athletics, bowling, swimming, padel, taekwondo, archery, billiards and snooker, fencing, karate, and shooting.

The delegation is led by mission director Abdullah Shaaban, with Dr. Suad Al-Faqaan as deputy, alongside an administrative team including Dr. Hussein Al-Saeed and Ali Mishari, as well as medical and media staff to ensure full support for the athletes throughout the competition.
