Kuwait FA president presented a commemorative award to Omar Artan during the Zain Premier League closing ceremony.

KUWAIT CITY, June 30: Football Association Chairman Sheikh Ahmad Al-Yousef honoured international Somali referee Omar Artan, who officiated the Kuwait Club vs Qadsia match in the final round of the Zain Premier League.

The honor comes after Artan was reportedly denied entry to the United States, preventing him from taking part in officiating duties at the 2026 World Cup.

Sheikh Al-Yousef and members of the Football Association’s board also congratulated Kuwait Club on winning the Zain Premier League title for the 2025–2026 season. He extended congratulations to Al-Arabi for finishing second and Qadsia for securing third place.

He concluded by wishing all teams success in the upcoming competitions.
