KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Dressage Committee at the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, extended his congratulations to Palestinian rider Diana Al-Shaer on her election as Chair of the FEI Dressage Committee and as a member of the International Equestrian Federation’s Board of Directors.
Sheikh Al-Mubarak praised Al-Shaer’s distinguished career, noting that she currently leads the FEI Arab Group VII for dressage and is regularly consulted on all matters related to the discipline. “Diana Al-Shaer has played a vital role in the development of dressage across Arab countries,” he said. “Under her guidance, Kuwait has implemented one of the best systems in the sport. We are committed to continuous improvement, and having a strong ally within the International Federation will further support our goals.”
He added that interest in dressage has been growing rapidly in recent months, particularly among beginners at the training level, which is essential for discovering and nurturing new talents. “Among them is the promising young rider Haider Ali Baqer, who is currently the youngest participant in local equestrian competitions,” Sheikh Al-Mubarak said.
The Kuwait Equestrian Federation’s Dressage Committee recently organized the first official championship of the current season, which saw strong participation at the Sahara Equestrian Club.
