Sheikh Al-Jaber hails the huge success of the Arab Masters Tennis Tournament

MANAMA, Dec 24: The fifth Arab Masters Tennis Tournament concluded with Tunisian player Aziz Al-Waqi claiming the title after defeating Jordan’s Mohammad Qutb 2–0 in the final at the Public Security Officers Club in Manama. The event was held under the patronage of Bahraini Minister of Interior Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and attended by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber, Chairman of the Arab Tennis Federation, and Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Bahraini Tennis Federation.

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber expressed his delight at the unprecedented success of the tournament, praising its high standards in terms of technical quality, organization, and media coverage. He noted that the fifth edition demonstrated professionalism and highlighted the championship’s growing prestige in the Arab sports arena.

Sheikh Al-Jaber thanked the Bahraini Minister of Interior for his sponsorship and presence at the closing ceremony, commending the strong cooperation with the Bahraini Tennis Federation and the dedication of its team in ensuring the tournament’s success.

He also extended gratitude to the Ministry of Interior and the Public Security Officers Club for hosting the event, noting that Bahrain’s reputation for excellent organization and warm hospitality was evident throughout the championship.

Sheikh Al-Jaber acknowledged the support of the tournament sponsors, including the National Bank of Kuwait, KGL, Kuwait Airways, and KDD. He added that the Arab Tennis Federation had increased the total prize fund to $50,000 to encourage players and enhance competition, congratulating all the winners for their achievements.
