MANAMA, Oct 27: Sheikh Khalid Al-Badr Al-Sabah, President of both the Kuwait and Asian Aquatics Federations, described the Asian Youth Games as a premier sporting event and one of the key competitions in Asia for 2025. He expressed full confidence in Bahrain’s ability and experience to successfully host the Games, noting their expertise in organizing major sporting events that promote integration, knowledge sharing, competitive exposure, and the enhancement of athletes’ technical and physical levels across Asia.
Sheikh Al-Badr commended the dedicated efforts of Bahraini authorities for providing all necessary support to ensure a smooth and successful event, fostering a spirit of friendship and camaraderie among athletes from across the continent.
He also highlighted the close collaboration between National Olympic Committees, local and continental federations, international federations, and the Olympic Council of Asia, which aims to develop aquatic sports in Asia and maintain the continent’s reputation as a global leader in Olympic disciplines, driven by continuous improvement and coordinated efforts.
Finally, Sheikh Al-Badr expressed his hope that the Kuwaiti national aquatic team will deliver strong performances, achieve notable results, and proudly raise the Kuwaiti flag at this distinguished sporting event, building on the team’s thorough preparation.
