LOS ANGELES, Oct 8, (Agencies): Shaquille O’Neal, the NBA legend, demonstrated his love for his mother and his commitment to his foundation at his third annual event, appropriately named “The Event,” held on a Saturday night. The event aimed to raise funds for The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation, and Shaq didn’t hesitate to dig deep into his own pockets to make a difference.

In the midst of a lively auction as part of the evening’s activities, O’Neal made a remarkable gesture by bidding $20,000. His generous bid secured a single table on the stage for his mother, Lucille O’Neal, during a concert featuring performances by Jennifer Hudson, Dan+Shay, John Legend, and Anderson Paak.

With a smile on his face, the 51-year-old O’Neal called out to his mother, saying, “Come up here, momma.” Lucille joyfully joined the stage and even danced to the music of Anderson Paak, much to the delight of her famous son.

But Shaq’s generosity didn’t stop there. He also made a winning bid of $50,000 for a luxurious vacation to Bora Bora. In doing so, on an evening dedicated to raising funds for his own foundation, he contributed a total of $70,000 to the cause.

While musical sensations like John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, and Dan + Shay took the stage, the primary focus of the evening remained on Shaquille O’Neal’s philanthropic endeavors.
