LOS ANGELES, Oct 18, (Agencies): Shania Twain, the country music icon at 58, expressed her admiration for Taylor Swift's recent fashion choice during a chat about the "Shake It Off" singer's T-shirt in New York City at the start of October.

Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show, Shania Twain had nothing but kind words to say about Taylor Swift donning a T-shirt bearing her face. "It's really cool. I think that was sweet of her," she shared. Twain went on to describe Swift, 33, as a "doll" and a "great role model for girls."

"I'm totally in," Twain continued, "Like, I feel like I'm her aunt or something. We're in sync in a lot of ways, and I really have a lot of respect and compassion for her." The "Forever and for Always" star also took the opportunity to applaud Swift's work ethic, acknowledging the immense pressure that young artists in her position face. "The weight of any young artist in her position is enormous, and she gets through it seemingly so effortlessly, but we all know that it's not," she said.

Swift's choice of attire was a Shania Twain "Any Man of Mine" T-shirt from Free People, which she sported alongside her friend Keleigh Sperry outside Electric Lady Studios in New York City on Oct 3. She paired the Twain merchandise with bike shorts, white New Balance sneakers, a baseball cap, and a small Louis Vuitton bag.
