DUBAI, May 10: Shabab Al Ahli captured the UAE President’s Cup title with a 2-1 win over Sharjah at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, home of Al Jazeera Club.
Youri Cesar was the hero for Shabab Al Ahli, scoring twice—in the 45+2nd and 64th minutes—while Marcos Meloni netted Sharjah’s lone goal in the 14th minute.
With this triumph, Shabab Al Ahli now tops the all-time list of UAE President’s Cup winners, claiming its 11th title and surpassing Sharjah, which remains on 10 titles in second place.
