KUWAIT CITY, Dec 29: A total of 17 recommendations were issued for the follow-up of government projects. The government was asked to circulate them to its authorities, and study and work with them, including the implementation of the Tender Authority Law, in terms with providing it with the data of companies that stumbled in implementation during the validity of the contract, and the serious violations that caused damages at work or on public money, reports Al-Anba daily quoting reliable sources.

They explained that the recommendations focused mainly on the timetable for the implementation of projects, the development of a treatment plan for the timetable, the curve of the completion rates, the number of estimated workforce in the event of a delay in completion or the adoption of a time extension for the project, and the setting of specific criteria for the mechanism of issuing change orders.

There is a recommendation that future contracts must include a condition related to achieving the interim goals of construction projects and linking them to penal terms and fines in the event of delay in achieving them, as well as another recommendation that future project contracts must include clauses related to training national cadres on management and operation skills.
