Selling stolen medicines

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: Police have arrested an unidentified expatriate for selling medicines worth KD 20,000 to private pharmacies for low prices, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to reliable sources these medicines were stolen from government hospitals and are available only to Kuwaitis who suffer from severe illnesses. When the suspect was asked about the source of the medicines, he admitted to obtaining them from government pharmacies. The sources added, a decision has now been taken to install CCTV cameras in all pharmacies affiliated to the Ministry of Health to prevent thefts and manipulation in the distribution of medicines.

Number plates seizes: During security campaign organized by the traffic police from the Capital governorate, the police have seized the number plates of 20 vehicles for violating the traffic laws and causing terrific jam in front of Social Insurance Building, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily did not give more details.
