KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The Farwaniya police have taken into custody a 23-year-old Kuwaiti for selling drugs to young people that is locally known as ‘chemical’ meth, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information set a trap for the man and caught him red-handed in Rabiya. Armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, police then raided the man’s home in Zahra and found hundreds of sachets of drugs of different types, drug paraphernalia, KD 2,671 in cash, an air gun, a pistol, a walkie-talkie, and 13 cell phones which the suspect said he had confiscated from clients because they could not pay him in cash.

Police also found other types of wireless devices, monitoring cameras and three bottles of imported booze, in the man’s home who has been identified only as A.R.M.

According to the police the man was found to be abnormal after he was ordered to pull over for reckless driving.

At the time of arrest he had KD 600 in his pocket which he admitted to be proceeds from sale of drugs and an unlicensed pistol and two loaded magazines inside his car. The contraband and the suspect have been handed over to the concerned authorities.
