KUWAIT CITY, March 26: An Asian expatriate was arrested by securitymen in Ahmadi area for peddling in alcohol and seized 40 bottles of local brew in his possession.

The officers were on regular duty in the area when they spotted the suspect promoting alcohol and arrested him. He was referred to the relevant authority for legal action. Meanwhile, police officers from Ahmadi Security Command arrested an Indian in Mangaf after a hot chase late at night as he was found to be trading in alcohol with 12 bottles of imported alcohol in his possession. While patrolling the area, the officers looked into a car parked near a building because they noticed someone was inside.

Upon sensing police presence, the suspect got out of the car and fl ed on foot, but the officers chased him resulting in his arrest. The officers also discovered 12 bottles of imported alcohol inside the car. During interrogation, the officers confirmed that the suspect is trading in alcohol so he was referred to the concerned security unit, along with the confiscated bottles of liquor, for legal action
