Securitymen arrest reckless motorist with Gulf number plate after hot chase

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: An unidentified individual was arrested for driving recklessly, ignoring security orders and attempting to escape from the country through Salmi border checkpoint following a hot chase, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling when they noticed an individual recklessly driving his vehicle that was carrying the number plate of a Gulf country. When they ordered him to stop, he ignored the order and sped away. While securitymen were chasing him, another vehicle crashed into their patrol vehicle, and the police officer who was driving the patrol vehicle sustained injuries and was referred to Jahra Hospital for treatment. Even though the driver of the other vehicle managed to escape, he was later arrested. Eventually, the suspect was detained at Salmi border checkpoint from where he tried to escape from the country. A case was registered and he was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.

3 minors injured: Three minors sustained injuries when two vehicles collided on Salmi Road, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the accident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. The three victims were referred to Jahra Hospital for treatment. A case was registered for investigations.
