KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: The Criminal Security Sector, led by Major General Hamid Al-Dawwas and the sector leaders, continued their successive strikes on drug dealers, residency law violators, owners of liquor factories, and thieves of subsidized diesel, as it was able to arrest 700 residency law violators during the past week. According to security statistics, officers from the departments of Residence Affairs Investigations in all governorates were able to arrest 42 people of different nationalities who were caught trading in locally manufactured liquor, 152 people for immoral acts via social media, and 21 others for trading in narcotic substances.

The detectives also arrested a four-member gang of different nationalities for carrying out electronic fraud, seven people for stealing electrical cables, seven for stealing subsidized diesel and sand from Wafra area, and two for stealing vehicles. According to security sources, strict instructions were issued to intensify the work of officers from the criminal security and residency affairs sector to combat drug dealers, their promoters, abusers, and “thieves,” and to strike the dens of vice and their promoters through social media.
