KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: The Ministry of Interior's Police Department carried out a large-scale security campaign in Mahboula, Ahmadi Governorate, targeting wanted individuals, residency violators, and other lawbreakers as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and enforce the law.
The campaign was conducted in the presence of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and under the direct supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Hamad Ahmed Al-Munaifi and Head of the Traffic and Operations Sector Brigadier General Ahmed Fahd Al-Azmi.
The campaign resulted in the following violations and arrests:
- 790 traffic violations recorded
- 109 wanted individuals arrested in connection with criminal and security cases
- 62 individuals arrested for expired residency permits
- 31 individuals arrested for not carrying identification documents
- 11 individuals arrested for being in an intoxicated state
- 9 wanted vehicles seized
- 8 individuals arrested for possession of narcotics and alcohol bottles
The Ministry of Interior said legal measures were taken against all those apprehended, who were referred to the competent authorities for further action.
