KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: In a decisive move to tighten the grip on lawbreakers and safeguard public order, the General Department of Criminal Investigation—represented by the Farwaniya Governorate Investigation Department—launched a sweeping security campaign in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area.
The surprise operation, part of continuous nationwide efforts by the Ministry of Interior, culminated in the arrest of several suspects and the shutdown of illegal operations hidden within the densely populated district.
According to security sources, five suspects involved in various violations were taken into custody, while a makeshift vegetable warehouse and an unlicensed barbershop were seized. Authorities also apprehended a street vendor operating in violation of municipal regulations, taking appropriate legal measures against him.
In a separate development, a man wanted for an outstanding arrest warrant was arrested, two individuals were deported upon completion of legal procedures, and three others linked to different cases were successfully tracked down and detained.
During the operation, Kuwait Municipality inspectors issued two violations, and power supply was cut to two residences found in breach of safety and zoning rules.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to continue such intensive campaigns across the country, emphasizing that ongoing crackdowns will persist to apprehend violators and fugitives, reinforcing the nation’s security and public safety.
