KUWAIT CITY, June 25: A Kuwaiti man in his 50s has been arrested for murdering a Kuwaiti woman and chopping her body into 20 pieces after which he threw them in garbage containers in various parts of the country, reports Aljarida daily. This crime was committed in a professional manner that is strange to the Kuwaiti society. According to the case file, a missing report was filed by a Kuwaiti woman a few days ago, stating that her sister had been missing for more than seven months, specifically since last October.

She said she did not know her sister’s whereabouts, and she suspects that something bad had happened to her, especially since she did not attend the wedding of two of her children during this period. The woman explained that her sister had been separated from her husband – the father of her children – a long time ago and was living alone. However, she was secretly married to a citizen, and no one knew this secret except for her.

According to informed sources, the detectives summoned the ‘secret husband’ and asked him her whereabouts. He denied knowing anything about her since last October when she left their house and went to her place of residence. However, the detectives doubted his testimony, especially since he seemed nervous and confused. When they checked his phone, it became clear that his last call to the victim was in October last year. The detectives continued to grill him, and after vigorous efforts, the citizen finally confessed to killing her and cutting her corpse into twenty pieces, after which he threw the body parts in several garbage containers in more than one governorate. He then got rid of her phone and her clothes.

The detectives seized the suspect’s vehicle, which he claimed was used to transport the body parts, and transferred it to the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence. The experts there found traces of blood and hair, which turned out to belong to the missing woman. Despite instructing the suspect to show them the places where he dumped the body parts of the murdered woman, the investigation and criminal evidence officers were unable to find any of these parts. Search is still ongoing to uncover the details of the case.
