Red Sea Global introduces 'Fly Red Sea,' Saudi Arabia's inaugural seaplane company designed to provide transportation to the Red Sea's island resorts.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Oct 12, (Agencies):  In a landmark development, Red Sea Global introduced "Fly Red Sea," Saudi Arabia's inaugural seaplane company designed to provide transportation to the Red Sea's island resorts. With a commitment to sustainability, Fly Red Sea's initial fleet comprises four Cessna Caravan 208 seaplanes, all powered by sustainable aviation fuel, as revealed by RSG through its website, www.redseaglobal.com.

These seaplanes are equipped to carry a pilot and up to six guests with luggage for transfers to water-based resorts or accommodate up to nine guests for scenic tours across the entire destination, stated RSG. John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, who is also a pilot, expressed his deep involvement in establishing Fly Red Sea. He articulated the company's mission, emphasizing its exploration of technologies to reduce the aviation industry's carbon footprint and its dedication to providing fulfilling career opportunities to the Saudi people.

Fly Red Sea has chosen the Red Sea International (RSI) Airport in Hanak, Tabuk region, as its home base. This airport features a dedicated seaplane runway parallel to the main terminal. Fly Red Sea's inaugural seaplane flight took off on October 11, coinciding with the arrival of the airport's first distinguished guests, a VIP delegation of Saudi ministers, and other leaders aboard a specially liveried Saudia flight from Riyadh. The airport, inaugurated on September 21, 2023, was established to serve the Kingdom's Red Sea Development and Amaala tourism megaprojects.

As part of its strategic vision, Fly Red Sea plans to expand its fleet to nine seaplanes by 2028 and more than 20 by 2030, aligning with the development phases of the destination. Upon reaching full completion in 2030, the new tourism destination will encompass 50 resorts, offering up to 8,000 hotel rooms and over 1,000 residential properties spread across 22 islands and six inland sites. Luxury marinas, golf courses, entertainment, food and beverage options, and leisure facilities will also be integral components of this expansive tourism venture, in line with the comprehensive plans outlined on redseaglobal.com.
