Screening of Expats on arrival for coronavirus? Cabinet to decide today

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 06: This afternoon, the Cabinet is holding an emergency meeting to discuss the latest developments related to the coronavirus and the precautionary measures taken by Kuwait to encounter.

Government sources revealed that in the meeting they will discuss practical alternatives that have been developed by the relevant authorities, which will ensure that travelers coming to Kuwait are free of the virus, as the decision to get coronavirus free certification for expats of 10 countries before entering Kuwait has been suspended by the cabinet.

The sources said that security of health of the people is not negotiable, stressing that any decision taken in this regard is based on the recommendations from the health authorities.

Due to the technical complications associated with conducting the PCR examination, the capabilities of which are not available in some countries, prompted the decision for an alternative measures that will be discussed in the emergency cabinet meeting today so that appropriate steps may be taken.
