KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: The Ministry of Health has instructed its sectors, central departments, health districts, hospitals and health centers to grant the ‘screen’ allowance to Kuwaiti employees only, reports Al-Anba daily. The ministry took this step because many expatriate employees have demanded for the allowance, asserting the decision of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in this regard clearly states the allowance is for Kuwaiti employees only.

Moreover, the ministry approved a new form for the disbursement of the allowance to Kuwaiti employees starting from the first of January and no screen allowance transaction will be received unless the new form is used. According to the ministry, the ‘screen’ allowance will be paid as follows: KD30 for the Kuwaiti employees working on a screen connected to the audience, KD20 for those working on a screen that is not connected to the audience and KD15 for those working as secretary-typist.
