KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah visited students receiving medical care after suffering suffocation cases at a secondary school, checking on their condition and the level of healthcare being provided.
The ministry said in a press statement that Sheikh Dr. Salman reviewed the medical teams' follow-up of the cases and was briefed on the care and procedures being provided.
He stressed the need to continue providing all necessary healthcare services and utilizing available resources to ensure the students receive appropriate care based on the medical assessment of each case.
He also directed the concerned healthcare facilities and medical teams to continue monitoring the students' conditions and provide the highest level of care, while maintaining coordination with the Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities.
The ministry affirmed that it would continue following up on the cases in coordination with the concerned authorities, wishing the students good health and a speedy recovery.
Earlier today, Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabai ordered an investigation into an incident in which several female students suffered suffocation at a secondary school, affirming that all cases are stable.
The Ministry of Education said in a press statement that Minister Al-Tabtabai is directly following up on the students' health conditions and has instructed the ministry's relevant authorities to monitor their cases, ensure their safety and coordinate with the concerned authorities to address the incident and take the necessary measures.
