KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12, (KUNA): Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Waleed Al-Khubaizi stated that Kuwait’s request to exempt its nationals from the Schengen visa requirement is still pending the European approval.
The security sector in the European Union is undergoing a critical stage which prompted EU interior ministers to take a number of precautionary measures recently including a decision to postpone reviewing of states’ requests for Schengen visa exemption, Al-Khubaizi told reporters on the sidelines of his participation in the Spanish embassy’s celebration of the national day.
He emphasized that Kuwait has completed all the technical requirements and is waiting the resumption of the EU reviewing of the Schengen visa exemption requests
