KUWAIT CITY, July 25: A bold scam attempt was shut down when a Kuwait resident received a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from Salmiya Police Station. The caller, posing as a police officer, asked for the resident’s Civil ID under the pretext of “security procedures.” But the resident grew suspicious and demanded to see the caller’s police ID.
