KUWAIT CITY, July 10: The recent claims circulating on certain social media platforms regarding the General Traffic Department sending messages threatening fines for unpaid traffic violations are false.

The department clarifies that these messages are part of a scam designed to deceive individuals by cloning the Ministry of Interior’s website. Everyone is cautioned and avoid dealing with unofficial websites, advising them to verify the authenticity of such messages before making any payments.

The administration emphasizes that the Ministry of Interior communicates alerts regarding traffic violations through the official government application for electronic services called “Sahel.” Individuals will receive notifications through this platform, and the necessary actions will be taken accordingly to address any violations.
