Saudi man ‘shoots’ to death his wife in domestic dispute

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: A Saudi man shot his wife in the head and killed her in front of their children in the course of a domestic dispute at their house in Taima area. A security source said the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior was notified about the incident and a team of officers was deployed to the scene. They deposited the body to Forensics for autopsy and the suspect was referred with the murder weapon to concerned authorities. The Saudi man shot and killed his wife during a domestic dispute. The victim was in her 50s.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti lady was admitted to Jahra Hospital after receiving severe beating from her husband in Saad Abdullah area due to a minor family dispute. A security source said the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received information regarding the episode and dispatched officers to the scene. The lady was referred to Jahra Hospital for treatment. A case was registered.

Injuries in gang fight: More than 16 youths engaged in a fierce physical fight in front of “Sailor’s Day” on the Arabian Gulf Street, says Al-Seyassah. According to security sources, when securitymen received information about the attack between two groups of youths over accusations of “staring”, they rushed to the location to settle the public brawl. Some of the youths from both groups sustained minor injuries. Securitymen managed to arrest seven Kuwaiti youths from one group and one youth from the other group while the rest of the suspects managed to escape. The arrested youths have been referred to the police station of the area for necessary legal action.

Wedding pledge cheat: Police have arrested a 29-year-old Kuwaiti woman for swindling an unidentified GCC citizen who is believed to be in his 50s, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect reportedly gave promises of marriage and after receiving KD 11,000 from the ‘bridegroom’ she went back on her promise. The man has filed a complaint with the Adan Police Station. The man said the woman pretended that she needed money urgently and after he fulfilled her request, she said she spent the money and was ready for any punishment. The daily did not give more details.
