RIYADH, Oct 25: The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed 10 ballistic missiles launched by Yemen’s Houthi group towards southern Saudi Arabia, according to a statement published on the coalition spokesperson’s official X account.

The announcement comes amid renewed missile and drone threats against the Kingdom. On Sunday, the coalition separately reported intercepting and destroying a ballistic missile launched towards Riyadh and a cruise missile targeting Khamis Mushait in southwestern Saudi Arabia.

The latest developments highlight continuing security concerns over cross-border attacks by the Houthis, who have repeatedly launched missiles and drones towards Saudi territory.

The coalition has been supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government in its conflict with the Houthis, who control Sanaa and other parts of the country.

The reported interception of the 10 missiles could not be independently verified from the additional reports available at the time of publication.
