JEDDAH, July : The Saudi-led military coalition fighting Yemen’s Iran-allied Houthi group said on Friday it had destroyed a quartet of drones laden with explosives launched by the militia towards the kingdom.
Three drones were intercepted over Yemeni territory controlled by the Houthis, while another one was destroyed in Saudi airspace, official SPA news agency cited coalition spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki as saying.
He condemned the Houthi movement’s repeated attempts to target Saudi Arabia with drones and ballistic missiles as a “flagrant violation of international law.”
He went on to emphasize that the coalition would stand firmly and decisively against such transgressions, in line with established humanitarian laws and conventions.(KUNA)
