Saudi Joint Forces Commander Meets Yemen’s Tariq Saleh to Boost Military Coordination

RIYADH, Sept 26: Commander of the Joint Forces Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al Salman met in Riyadh on Saturday with General Tariq Saleh, member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council and commander of the National Resistance Forces, to discuss developments in Yemen and strengthen military coordination.

The meeting at the Joint Forces Command headquarters focused on efforts to support the readiness of the Yemeni Armed Forces on all fronts and coordinate efforts to restore the Yemeni state and its national institutions.

Al Salman praised Saleh’s role in the Presidential Leadership Council and his leadership of the National Resistance Forces, as well as what he described as the sacrifices made by its members in efforts to restore the state and end the Houthi coup.

Saleh, in turn, praised the role of the Joint Forces Command and its support for the Yemeni Armed Forces and National Resistance Forces, saying the assistance had helped enhance their capabilities. He also commended efforts to unify ranks and rehabilitate forces to carry out their national duties.

Saleh reaffirmed his confidence in the Yemeni Armed Forces and stressed the need to strengthen readiness, coordination and integration of efforts during the next phase.

Both sides emphasized unity, coordinated action and integrated roles, with continued efforts to strengthen morale, reorganize units and raise combat readiness as part of efforts to restore state institutions and contribute to security, stability and the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
