RIYADH, Nov 22: Three young Saudi men from the Ash Shamli area, west of Hail, have been widely commended for rescuing two Chinese expatriates after flash floods swept their vehicle into a valley south of the governorate.
Local reports indicate that the incident took place in Shuaib Bushra following heavy rainfall in the region. The rescuers—Ahmed Nasser Al Anzi, Hamoud Masamah Al Anzi, and Mubarak Farih Al Anzi—acted swiftly upon seeing the vehicle caught in strong flood currents. Both men inside the car were trapped and calling for help when the trio intervened, successfully bringing them to safety.
In recognition of their heroic actions, the Chinese Embassy expressed its gratitude, offering the rescuers round-trip tickets to China along with Huawei products as gifts.
