Saudi Foreign Minister, Iranian Counterpart Discuss De-escalation Efforts

RIYADH, Apr 9: Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi to discuss recent regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.

According to the ministry, the two officials exchanged views on the latest situation in the region and explored ways to support de-escalation to restore security and stability.

The call comes amid heightened tensions across the Middle East, with diplomatic engagement increasingly seen as key to easing the situation and preventing further escalation.
