RIYADH, Mar 8: The Saudi Civil Defense reported that a military projectile fell on a residential site in Al-Kharj Governorate on Sunday, resulting in two deaths and injuries to 12 others.
According to the official spokesperson, the incident occurred on 19 Ramadan 1447 AH (8 March 2026 AD) when the projectile struck a residential area belonging to a maintenance and cleaning company. The casualties included two workers of Indian and Bangladeshi nationalities, while 12 Bangladeshi residents sustained injuries. The attack also caused material damage to the site.
The Civil Defense condemned the targeting of civilian areas, describing it as a clear violation of international humanitarian law. Relevant authorities have launched necessary procedures and response measures in accordance with established protocols.
