Saudi Arabia to resume work after Eid Al-Fitr holidays in all government offices

RIYADH, May 26 : The Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, announced today, Tuesday, that the work will resume after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday for this year in all governmental and affiliated entities subject to the civil service system.

Minister Al-Rajhi said in a speech reported by the Saudi News Agency that the return of work, which was suspended as a result of the measures taken due to the spread of the Corona virus – Covid 19, will be in accordance with an arrangement that begins on the 31st of May.

He pointed out that on the aforementioned date, at least 50 percent of the entity’s employees will return to workplaces (provided that this includes all directors of departments or higher) and the rest of the employees who did not return to the buildings will continue to work remotely according to the current practice.

He added that, starting from June 7, the percentage of employees who return to workplaces will not be less than 75 percent of the entity’s employees, and the rest of the employees who have not returned to work remotely according to the current practice will continue, as of June 14, all employees will return to work headquarters.

He explained that it will be the presence of employees according to groups, by activating the validity of flexible working hours by dividing them into three groups that differ at the beginning of the working hour between them, pointing out that the concerned departments of government agencies are constantly making sure that the workplaces are compatible with the preventive measures issued by the Ministry of Health.

He pointed out that after opening the business and activities further, the department will expand and increase the numbers of workers and consumers in order to stimulate and stimulate the economic cycle, but the balance between health protection requirements and the needs of economic activities is an important requirement for this stage (KUNA) –
