RIYADH, Mar: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence announced on Monday that it had successfully thwarted a drone attack targeting the Shaybah oil field in the eastern region near the Emirati border. In a statement, the ministry confirmed that four drones heading toward the site were intercepted and destroyed before reaching their target. Additionally, another drone approaching from the Empty Quarter was also detected and neutralized by Saudi defence forces, the official spokesperson said.
