Saudi Arabia reports six coronavirus deaths, 1,122 infections; 567 new infections in Qatar

RIYADH, April 20 (KUNA) — Saudi Arabia on Monday reported 6 new coronavirus deaths and 1,122 infections, noting that the rise in the cases numbers in the past few days is due to the active testing operations.
In its daily briefing, the Health Ministry official spokesperson, Dr. Mohammad Al-Abdulali, said that the death toll from the virus has risen to 103, while the number of infections climbed to 10,484.
He noted that the total number of recoveries have reached 1400 after confirming 92 new cases today.

UAE
The UAE reported on Monday two coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths, and the number of infections up 484 cases, including the recovery of 74 patients.
Emirati Health authorities said in a press briefing, that the total number of fatalities jumped to 43, and the total infections reached 7,265 cases.

Qatar
A total of 567 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Qatar, the biggest daily increase to date, bringing the total number of infections to 6,015, Qatar News Agency. QNA also announced one more death from the virus, taking the death toll in the country to 9, according to the Ministry of Public Health

Bahrain

Bahrain on Sunday announced 100 new coronavirus infections, while four patients recovered from the disease, said the health ministry.
In a statement, the ministry stressed that the mobile examination units are continuing to conduct random coronavirus tests, indicating that more than 2,565 laboratory tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, all over Bahrain with the aim of identifying existing cases early.
The ministry also noted that the total number of recoveries surged to 759 after confirmation of today’s four new cases

Oman

Oman’s Ministry of Health said Monday that 144 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall to 1,410.
The new cases include 58 Omani citizens and 86 foreigners, the ministry said in a statement carried by Oman News Agency (ONA).
While seven patients succumbed to the illness, 238 others have recovered so far, according to the statement.
