RIYADH, Aug 7: Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye are set to sign a trilateral defense agreement in Jeddah on Friday, according to security sources.
The agreement is expected to be signed during a one-day working visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Saudi Arabia. Erdogan is scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, as well as Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The agreement comes amid increased regional diplomatic efforts, with Pakistan involved in mediation aimed at ending the US-Iran conflict, while Türkiye has played an active role in international efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.
