Saudi Arabia, Iran and Vietnam win their opening matches in AFC Asian Futsal Championship

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: Saudi Arabia, Iran and Vietnam won their respective matches in the AFC Asian Futsal Championship, which started on 27th Seo in  Kuwait. In the first round of the competitions for third and fourth groups on the second day of the championship which will continue until October 8 with the 16 teams participating witnessed the first draw between Lebanon and Chinese Taipei.

The Saudi team won over Japan (2-1) in the match held at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Hall in Group D, as Nasser Al-Harthy and Mohsen Faqihi scored for Saudi Arabia, while Japan’s only goal was scored by Cribaldi Vinicius.

Iranian team

Vietnam won over its South Korean counterpart, 5-1, scored by Tran Hoi (two goals), Pham Duc Hoa (two goals) and South Korean player Shin Jong by mistake, knowing that the same player scored the only goal for his country.

Defending champion Iran started its campaign to defend its title with a big victory over Indonesia with 5-0 in the third group competition, goal scored by Iranian players Saeed Abbasi (two goals), Muslim Gubad, Mehdi Asadshir and Hossein Tibi scored one goal each

Lebanon and China Taipei tied 1-1 in Group C, as the latter advanced through Huang Lun, before the Lebanese team equalized through Mohamed Hammoud, so that the two teams shared the match points by one point for each team.
