Saudi Arabia Intercepts Drones, Ballistic Missile in Eastern Region and Al-Kharj

RIYADH, Mar 18: Saudi Arabia’s air defence systems intercepted and destroyed multiple aerial threats, including drones and a ballistic missile, in separate incidents across the Eastern Region and Al-Kharj Governorate. Authorities confirmed that several drones were downed in successive operations, with earlier interceptions also reported in the same region.

In a separate incident, a ballistic missile launched toward Al-Kharj was successfully intercepted, with debris falling near Prince Sultan Air Base without causing any damage. Officials said the operations reflect the Kingdom’s continued readiness to counter threats and safeguard critical infrastructure.
