RIYADH, Mar 7: The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched toward Prince Sultan Air Base.

In a statement, the ministry said air defense units also intercepted and destroyed multiple drones launched from hostile areas. Four drones were downed while en route to the Shaybah oil field, and another drone was intercepted east of Riyadh. Additionally, two more drones were destroyed in separate attempts to target the same oil facility.

The ministry affirmed that the Kingdom’s defense systems remain on high alert to respond to any threats, emphasizing that such hostile actions aim to target vital civilian and economic facilities.
