TUNIS, Nov 1: Salwa begins its journey in the Arab Handball Clubs Championship for League and Cup Winners in Hammamet, Tunisia, running from November 1 to 9, with a clash against Tunisia’s Sahel Club at 5:00 PM today. Kuwait’s second women’s team, Qurain, kicked off its campaign yesterday against Hammamet Club.

The tournament draw placed Qurain in Group A alongside Moknine, Hammamet, and Syria’s Qasioun, while Salwa was drawn in Group B with Africain, Sahel, and Syria’s Nabk.

To strengthen its squad, Salwa Club enlisted four Tunisian players—Saida Sassi, Salma Bousaheeh, Aya Zaidi, and Safa Dallous—while Qurain included three Egyptian players and a professional Serbian athlete.

Bahraini coach Mohammed Mirza stressed that Salwa is focused on delivering a strong performance and representing Kuwaiti women’s handball with excellence, combining the energy of young talents with the experience of seasoned players.
