Salwa Club honors delegations at West Asia Women’s Volleyball Championship

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 9: Salwa Club, under the leadership of Chairperson Sheikha Naeema Al-Ahmad, celebrated the success of the West Asia Women’s Volleyball Clubs Championship, currently underway and continuing until the 13th of this month. The tournament is held under the patronage of Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs. A special ceremony was held recently to honor the participating delegations and the refereeing committee.

Sheikha Naeema expressed her delight in recognizing the contributions of the teams and referees, noting that their efforts were instrumental to the success of the championship, which features 12 Arab clubs from West Asia. She added, “The praise for the organization from all participating delegations reflects the dedication and professionalism of Salwa Club staff, highlighting the club’s ability to host major sporting events with excellence.”

Fawaz Al-Mutairi, Executive Director of the Multi-Sports Sector at Saudi Arabia’s Al-Fayhaa Club, commended Salwa Club’s management for their outstanding organization of the event, emphasizing that it reflects Kuwait’s leadership’s commitment to advancing women’s sports.

Aisha Al-Jabri, Board Member of the Omani Federation and Chair of the Championship Refereeing Committee, highlighted that all refereeing was conducted according to scientific standards and strict regulations, ensuring fairness and impartiality. She praised Salwa Club’s efforts in providing a platform to discover young talent and foster creativity.

Anoud Al-Muhairi, administrator of the Sharjah, UAE team, also lauded the organizing committee, led by Sheikha Naeema, for overcoming challenges faced by the teams and noted that the skill level of the players is improving with every match.
