Officials applaud as the captain of Salwa Al-Sabah Club hoists the championship trophy.

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: Salwa Al-Sabah Club's premier women's volleyball team clinched the coveted Women’s Federation Cup Championship title for the 2023-2024 sports season with a resounding victory over Al-Fatah Club in the final match. The match concluded with a commanding three-round sweep, 25-13, 25-14, and 25-21. Meanwhile, the Girls Club Al-Oyoun claimed the third-place spot. The thrilling showdown took place at the Al-Ittihad Hall within the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex.

In a ceremony graced by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Jaber Al-Marri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Volleyball Federation, Nayef Al-Khamili, the Assistant Secretary, and Fadela Al-Shuwailan, President of the Girls Club, Salwa Al-Sabah women's team was crowned champions. It received the championship cup, while the girls from Al-Fatah and Al-Oyoun were awarded gold and silver medals, respectively, with bronze medals bestowed upon Al-Oyoun's players.

This marks Salwa Club's second triumph of the season, having previously secured the General League Championship title for girls under 18 years. Its victory over Al-Fatah Club in that contest further solidified its dominance in women's volleyball.
