Salmiya police remove 73 abandoned vehicles, boats and caravans

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 13: Salmiya Police have removed 73 abandoned vehicles, boats and caravans from roads, squares and areas between residential homes following a field campaign in the governorate.

According to security sources, the campaign was carried out under the supervision of the Hawalli Governorate Security Director and the Commander of the Salmiya District. Police officers began by identifying and documenting abandoned vehicles and making inquiries to locate their owners.

Some owners were identified and contacted, while cases in which the owners could not be reached were handled in coordination with Hawalli Municipality in accordance with the procedures for removing abandoned property.

Police personnel continued following up on the cases in the field until the vehicles, boats and caravans were actually removed. The campaign addressed 73 cases and helped clear roads, squares and spaces between homes of abandoned property affecting the appearance of the area and traffic flow.

The operation highlighted the police station’s role not only in monitoring violations but also in following up with the relevant authorities until such issues are resolved on the ground.
