Salmiya and Al-Sahel players tussle for the ball during the round of 16 game of the Amiri Cup. Salmiya won the game 4-1 on penalty shoot-out.

Salmiya, Burqan and Shabab sport clubs qualified for the round of eight of His Highness the Amir Football Cup on Friday.

Salmiya had to go to extra time against Sahel to win the game. The regulation time ended 1-1, but Salmiya succeeded in adding three more goals in the extra time to win 4-1.

Burqan passed through Fahaheel 1-0 to advance to the round of eight.

Shabab’s clash against Jahra ended 1-1 in normal time. However, Shabab succeeded in finishing the game 3-2.

The three teams will join Qadsiya, Arabi, Kazma and Khaitan in the round of eight. (KUNA)
