Sheikh Ahmed Ali Nasser Al-Ali Al-Sabah receives commemorative shield.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The horse Salim Al-Raya, owned by Al-Asimi, secured victory in the Sheikh Dr. Ali Nasser Al-Ali Al-Sabah Cup for the Al-Shajar Stud of Egyptian Arabian horses – C4 – covering 1,200 meters in a time of 1:29.25. The win came in the ninth race of the 16th meet at the Kuwait Shooting and Equestrian Club.

Sheikh Ahmed Ali Nasser Al-Ali Al-Sabah presented the Al-Shajar Stud Cup to Al-Asimi’s stable. Sheikh Sabah Fahd Al-Nasser, Secretary General and Chairman of the Supreme Equestrian Committee, alongside Alaa Hamad Al-Rumi, owner of Al-Raya Stud, also presented commemorative shields to Sheikh Ahmed Ali Nasser Al-Ali Al-Sabah in recognition of his support for Egyptian Arabian horse racing at the club.

Sheikh Dr. Ali Nasser Al-Ali Al-Sabah, owner of Al-Shajar Stud, said: “This achievement began as an idea from Al-Raya Stud owner, Alaa Hamad Al-Rumi, which he shared with breeders of purebred Arabian horses in our beloved country. Today, we celebrate the outstanding collaboration and success in promoting Arabian horse breeding—a heritage from our ancestors and from our father Ismail, peace be upon him, the first to ride and domesticate horses, as documented in Ibn Kathir’s Al-Bidaya wa’l-Nihaya.”
